Is Soyinka wrong to have spoken that way to the wife of the president?

I believe the first thing to do here is to answer yes or no. The answer of course will be to avoid joining issues on this matter. The one who said what he said knows why he said what he said that should answer the yes or no.  I think for the first time on this matter, ( if am not wrong) a Nigerian is coming out to say it like it is. Our government and country is today filled with sycophants whose only duty has become that of praising evil all because of what they want to get. Just out of curiosity let me ask,   Is there any thing like the office of the first lady according to the constitution? The answer is an obvious no. If the answer is no, is the wife of the president of the federation allowed by law to talk to or  challenge the right of a seating governor let alone allow her convoy prevent the governor from moving in his own state because the first lady is around? Again the answer is no.

In a country like Nigeria anything goes. The federal system of government practiced is very lopsided. Even those who lead the country may not be able to interpret the federal character system being practiced. In America where Nigeria claim to have modeled her federal system from, the wife of the president does not have the right to challenge the governor of a state. It can only happen in Nigeria.

Let those who claim to know the truth tell the president the truth. While I do not subscribe to name calling and insults, I think the man made his point and the wise knows just how well to apply that statement...a word is enough for the wise. we must begin to do things right.
