Daily post-Jimoh Ibrahim demotes Editor of Daily Mirror, reads Riot Actto management

The Publisher of National Mirror, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim, on Monday demoted the Editor of the Daily newspaper, Seyi Fasugba.
No reason was however given for the development which takes immediate effect.
Theeagleonline, an online news site, reports that Fasugba, who was out of Nigeria when the decision was taken, was moved to the Sunday title as Editor.
The Editor of the Sunday title, Bolaji Tunji, will now oversee the daily title.
In media establishments, the Daily Editor is the most senior of the three title Editors.
Also the Editor of
the Sunday title is usually the number two in hierarchy, while the Editor of the Saturday title is the number three.
Similarly, Ibrahim was reported to have issued a warning to the Managing Director of the National Mirror, Steve Ayorinde, and the other title editors: They are never to travel out of Lagos, the operational base of the newspaper, without his permission.
In addition, they are to give him a minimum of five days notice in writing before they can travel and then wait for his response in writing.
DailyPost recalls that Ibrahim unceremoniously sacked the Executive Director (Editorial) of his second newspaper, Newswatch Daily, Femi Ige.
Ige was allegedly sacked over the usage of a photograph on the front page of Saturday Newswatch, which featured, among others, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), a staunch critic of Ibrahim.
Olanipekun had accused Ibrahim of running down Air Nigeria, as well as the handling of the sale and management of National Mirror and Newswatch Daily.
