Top newspaper report-Blackface/Tu-Face Rift Grows Wider !

They were together in the same entertainment group but of late, it seems the feud between Innocent Ujah Idia popularly known as Tuface and his local hommie, Amedu Augustine Obiabo popularly known as Blackface will not end soon with the latter’s refusal to attend Tuface’s wedding.

Flashback:
It all began with a group of two local friends from the Idoma speaking part of Benue state coming together; they were both talented with different styles of music. While Tuface is a pop singer, Blackface sings ragga/reggea, and it was a good collaboration.
Tuface who was a student of IMT Enugu has gone through a lot in life before he finally went solo with a mouth watering deal with Kennis Music.
Blackface, a very talented artiste, was also a force to reckon with in the group known as ‘Plantashun Boiz’.
The relationship between Tuface and Blackface dates back to 1996 when they first met at the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Enugu and that chance meeting gave birth to arguably what would be one of Nigeria’s biggest R&B/Pop group – Plantashun Boiz – with Richard Chibuzor Oji (Faze) as the third member of the band.
However, 17-years later,
Tuface and Blackface, both Idomas from Benue state, are neither friends nor enemies; just colleagues in the industry.
AlthoughTuface’s wedding in Dubai has come and gone, the ripples it has generated will continue to resonate for a long time to come – one of which is the reason why he did not invite his way back buddy, Blackface.
While former band mate, Faze, was one of the groomsmen, Blackface was not even part of the 250 special guests invited to share the happy moment with Tuface in the Middle Eastern country.
So, when a fan on Twitter asked Blackface why he did not join the train to Dubai, he simply responded thus, “I no dey go where
I no dey invited! but I wish dem all they wish themselves!”
That was a strong statement.
Plantashun Boiz:
This group was a very successful Nigerian hip hop band whose members were BlackFace,Tuface Idibia and Faze. They released 2 albums together.
Following the split of the band in 2004, they all launched solo careers to varying success.
Life After Split:
2face Idibia’s achievements has been numerous like the MTV music award in 2005.
Faze sold 6 million copies of his three consecutive albums as of October 15, 2008.
BlackFace is the current lead singer of the band “D Tribunal” with whom he has released about two album.
Album:
Body and Soul (2000)
Sold Out (2003)
Plan B (2007) (as a reunion al-
bum after split)
African Queen Saga:
The rift between the duo about the rightful owner of the song that brought Tuface to limelight, ‘Afrian Queen,’ spread like wild fire in the media that Blackface was a co-owner of the song and it was produced without his concent which also made him to do same version of the song which sounds better because of the ragge flavour it has.
The case of Blackface having challanges in settling his house bills and thrown out by his landlord was shocking as he was the most prospective personlity in the group.
His first album ‘Ahead Of The Game’ took the country by storm but it is funny that they couldn’t settle their differencces eventhough they are brothers from same state.
In an interiew with an online blog, Blackface stated that Tuface has to pay him his percentage of the ‘African Queen’.
