The below information does not really impress many of us. The plate number thing has been described by many as the height of the 21st century fraud. When will the nonsense stop? If I have a car with an existing plate number, why can't I just exchange it for a new one and look forward to paying fully when I get another car? Please do not remind me that its because the plate number becomes mine permanently, I find it funny that I have to exchange or replace my plate number for almost 25k each, the height of corruption and leadership madness. I will always view this as fraud. Are you expecting a thank you for he extension? Not from me....please read below
The Joint Tax Board (JTB) has formally laid to rest speculations about the extension or otherwise of the expiring date for the renewal of the driver’s licence and Vehicle number plates currently in use in the country.A press release signed by the Secretary of JTB, ML Abubakar stated that the new expiring date for the renewal process is 30th June 2014 instead of 1st October 2013 it earlier gave.“The re-validation exercise in respect of these items will continue till 30th June, 2014.
