Tinsel Couples-The Pride Of Mnet

For many, Tinsel started with a fire it no longer has. This according to them is not because it's the  intention of the Tinsel crew or that of Mnet,  but because they could not sustain so many characters who helped the Tv series attain the status it got in Africa. For some Character, they killed them suddenly and killed their role but for others , they went quiet for too long making the producers and directors look like jokers. An example of this is the Telema and Soji roles. Their absence expecially that of Soji became so silent that mention was not even made of them for a long time and Soji had a friend like Chuks in the play. In that play, Chuks now carry on as though Soji was dead, a lapse too obvious to ignore.  According to a commentator, the tv series is now lacking depth and looks a a play fit only for secondary school children. One person argued that he lost interest because the owners were not able to keep the starts he got very used to. So as they left, he left also. However, in my opinion, Tinsel has done well. I say this not because I am seeking the reward of any man, but because I know it is not easy to go past one thousand episodes in any African series and still hold the fire like they once did. Yes, it may have lost it's once held catchy fire, I trust that the crew know where they are going. May they get there before losing too many of their fans.

While some are no longer watching Tinsel, I am sure they cannot but envy how the programme created  celebrity couples out of their stars. Though not the direct intention of the owners of Mnet, I am sure that Mnet will be very proud of themselves for this love couples. Not only has the creation of Tinsel set brought them together, some are married, even with a child while the other have blown open their sweet romance . Before now, Alex and Florence Okechukwu pupolarly known as Ene and chuks in Tinsel tied the not and the union has a child to show for it. Following this, is the the alleged secret marriage after their proposal between Damilola Adegbite and Chris Attoh popularly known in Tinsel as Telema and Kwame. Most recently, the pictures of OSA Ighodaro and Gbenro AJIBADE went viral as the two love birds went public with their love affair. To have had three couples from one set is something the management of Mnet should be proud of and in fact create a story from. May be a reality show should come from it or perhaps a movie titled Tinsel Couples.

Congratulation to the management of Mnet, the Tinsel crew and the couples. E no easy...Lol
