I am not a fan of Manchester United but I am a fan of good football. Now to the question, did Man United play good football in their opening game in the 2014/ 2015? The answer is yes but did they show enough hunger to want to show their fans that they were ready to put away last season disappointment and move on, the answer for me is no.
To put the above straight, Manchester United is yet to get it right in the mid field. The connecting link between the Mid field and the attack was not there. Though they wanted to prove a point against Swansea, that fighting spirit and deep coordination was not there. I did not use the words deep coordination losely ,i used it tightly. I could hardly make out who handled the mid field in that game. Also, it was not so clear who marshaled the attack. I failed to see who wanted to score and who was supporting. They did not play as a team also and their passes were not quite there. They did not play like they had a pattern. They were losed and the Swansea goal keeper did not look much troubled.
It was not a good way to start the season and it's because of their careless football. What never happened before happened. They were beaten 1-2 at home by Swansea, a team that had never beaten them at home before. That was their loss, too bad.
