Dr Ameyo Adadeboh: Nigeria owe her even in death

I
Late Dr Ameyo Adadevoh

Some times,  generals go to war only to return home to greater recognition in countries where value is placed on those who carry out heroic actions on their behalf. In Nigeria, generations yet unborn will remember , when they read the story of the Dr who went all out, not minding coorperate image to expose the presence of the Ebola Virus to Nigerias after her battle with the Liberian Patrick Sawyer who brought it to Nigeria. A man many have come to label a terrorist. If the doctor had hidden the fact of the Ebola deadly virus due to public and corporate image, perhaps you and I may never have heard about it yet a ministry of Health exist in Nigeria. God is watching many even on 10d.

Nigeria owe this doctor even in death. Her bravely must not go unrewarded. Truthfully, she only did her job . But in doing her job, she did what many would never had or have done. Cooperate image, much more than safety would have been the guiding principle of many had it happened in their hospital. But first consultants and this doctor exposed it not minding the effect. My call is that both the hospital and the family of the doctor be rewarded for their bravery and that is also not forgetting the nurses. This recognition and reward should be higher than winning even the nations cup. Nigerians must request this if only to honor the late doctor.

For her bravery and those of the nurses that died before her, may God in his infinite mercy bless them with eternal bliss in Jesus name...amen.
