Perhaps today's event will show that the crowning of an African footballer of the year goes beyond trophy, it's about performance all the way. Of the three favorites , John Obi Mikel, Yaya Toure and Didier Drogba, Mikel will look like the one to be favored the most. Last year, he won the Europa cup, won the African cup of nations, helped Chelsea to qualify for the Champions league from England. Toure on his part won nothing except help his club qualify for the Champions league. Drogba on his part is the least favorite of the three. Though doing well in his club , many fail to agree that the one time Chelsea legend deserve any place in being mentioned. We wish the three the very best...
