NFF Sacks Keshi, Amodu Takes Charge


The Nigeria Football Federation have just relieved Stephen Keshi of his role as Super Eagles coach. Despite the win yesterday over Sudan, the NFF will not be renewing Keshi's contract.
The football authority have also sent his assistants Daniel Amokachi, Ike Shorunmu who is celebrating his birthday today and other backroom staffs packing.
And to replace Keshi, the NFF brought back Amodu Shuaibu while Samson Siasia returns as Under 23 coach. 

Amodu will lead a consortium of coaches that will lead the Super Eagles to their last two qualifying matches against South Africa and Congo. Others shortlisted in the new arrangement included Salisu Yusuf, El Kanemi Warriors CEO, Gbenga Ogunbote, CEO Sharks FC, Garba Lawal the new team coordinator, Toyin Ibitoye the new media officer.
The NFF however agreed that after the two matches with Amodu and co in charge, a foreign technical adviser would be employed to lead a new look Super Eagles.
