Obituary Announcement- Unilag Alumni, ex Philosophy department President, Tony NWODU Passes on
We the ex students of philosophy, university of Lagos, 98 set announce with grief and deep pain the death of our friend and coursemate MR. TONY NWODU Which occurred on Sunday April 20,2014 in South Africa. Tony was aged 42.
Mr. Tony Nwodu was a pleasant, hard working,energetic, dedicated,loyal, trustworthy and dependable young Man. All who came across him knew how well he influenced them positively. A man of unquestionable character. Father and husband with unrivaled commitment. We pray that God in his infinite wisdom and mercywill grant him eternal rest in His bosom. Amen.
His body will arrive Nigeria from South Africa today Thursday April 24, 2014. Where it will be taken to Imo State for his final rest.
Tony we love you so much but God loves you more, we can't believe this happened, we will miss you dearly as our tears and pain knows no bound....Adieu Greatest Thinker.

P-Square the full story, my commentary and why things may never remain the same
Nothing last for ever except for God who has no beginning or end. The media today is saturated with the Psquare saga or story. While I am not particularly very bothered about it, I am also very interested in pointing out a few things from the story.
1. May be Jude made the first mistake- According to the story below, every one is begging Jude to try and keep the brothers together. How will he do that since he was the first to point the fact to the public on what is happenings amongst the brothers. Jude was the first to roll out a tweet pointing to this separation, how will he again be the one to bring Paul and Peter together? Perhaps he can, but will things ever remain the same? He was the center of p square and you know what happens when the center can no longer hold....things fall apart.
2. When a woman shows up, things change-when a woman comes into a place, the status quo never remains the same. It must shift either to the right or to the left...good or bad. I simply just love women. Taking a position is their birth right. No middle line except they want it. it's not in my place to point accusing fingers here, but I have heard of cases where brothers fought over one person disrespecting the other ones wife. When you have two strong brothers, who did things together like p square did and have done over time disagreeing over a woman, things will never remain the same again. Imagine Peter claiming that Jude has been disrespecting his wife for years. One big lesson here, when your friend or brother decides to follow a way when it comes to a woman, all you owe him is prayers. You can't do more as every other thing you say or do can be used against you. If you know the role women have played over the years in helping a man stand or fall, you will ask Samson in the bible before joking with a woman. A woman can build, but if she decides to destroy, even R Kelly knows that when a woman us fed up there us nothing you can do about it. As long as the brothers disagreed over a woman...things are bound never to remain the same. Even if they make up, the stain will remain. Women change things for better or for worse.
3. The place and respect of the mother- Some did argue that it was their mother , much more than whatever Jude did that kept the brothers together. How true, I can't assert. The place of a mother in keeping a family together can never be down played. Even at their age, it was said that their mother played a great role in guiding the brothers. It is believed that, it was out of this respect and reverence for their mother, that the marriage of Peter did not take place while their mother was alive,since the claim was that their mother did not approve of the marriage. But she is dead and resting now. Does Her absence mean that things will never remain the same again?
4. Things people say-it amazes me that people never learn from the things which happen to others. Its even more sad, when it affects a group like P square which arguably is the best performing group in Africa. They should know by now, that people will be interested in their break up . As long as those people are jealous of their success, they will want them apart. Imagine an adult saying, people are telling him he has become a dancer in P square. Who listens to such crab? Talk is free and that is why any one will run their mouth. The sad part is when we allow what is said affect us. As long as the brothers listen to what outsiders say...things will never remain the same again.
5. A lot will be affected if they split- in Nigeria and in Africa, people did not come to know Peter as P square or Paul alone as P Square. When people came to a show, they went to see Peter and Paul ( P square perform) . Going or wanting to go solo is not the issue, but trust me, P square will die even if they go solo and come back to sing together again. Obviously one will make it more than the other and things will never remain the same again. They will have issues in the area of all their endorsement deals like the one from glo. Glo for example signed P square and not Peter or Paul. That deal will go and if it were some companies, they could be sued for breach of contract and made to pay dearly. So some one should let them know, that they will need to burry their anger and move on. If they separate , things will never be the same again for them.
This is just saying a bit. Taking your private life, disagreement and issues to social media merely creates news for bloggers and journalist. It helps nothing. It pays to keep what is private as private and what is public as public. Throwing this to the media is an indication that though they became big with their bank accounts , P square remained immature in their mentality. Mature people will agree to disagree and disagree to agree and not even the walls in their home will know about their disagreement. I wish them the very best whether together or apart.
SAD: The End Of P-Square [Full Story]
The drama coming out of the PSquare household is getting really serious. On Friday, Jude shared a tweet that sparked fears that all is not well with Africa’s beloved singing duo.Yesterday, a source very close to the artiste has revealed that not only are the twins fighting, Peter Okoye wants out of P-Square and they have even gone as far as inviting a lawyer to divide their fortune. As of right now, Peter Okoye doesn’t want anything to do with P-Square.He has moved out of Squareville mansion in Omole where he lived with his brothers for years and now lives in Lekki Phase 1 with his wife Lola Omotayo and their children.Here’s what the source, an industry person who knows what’s been going on, said:“Yes they fought this week. Peter even left a mark on Paul’s left eye. But the fight wasn’t during rehearsal, which rehearsal? Peter has refused to do anything P-Square for weeks now. Forget that he was at his brother’s wedding, things are not good between them right now. They were even invited to perform at president Jonathan’s wedding but they didn’t go.Peter wants out. The brothers are really angry at each other. The police is even involved. This week, either the commissioner of police or someone from his office visited their house.The worst part is that they have invited lawyer to come and share property o. They want to share everything. The lawyer was at their house I think on Thursday. Peter said no more P-Square joint ventures. You know they own everything together, including a house in Omole, Parkview and Atlanta. Except something is done fast P-Square is about to be finished. But I know that people have been intervening and begging them to reconsider, that they are the biggest musical duo in Africa. Nobody will benefit if they split. The power to make money is in their togetherness.It is Jude people are begging to keep the brothers together, but after what he tweeted yesterday, it may truly be over for P-Square. Jude has really tried for his brothers, for him to give up may mean it’s over for them. He practically put his entire life on hold for his brothers. Even sold his first car to shoot their first video but all that is about go come to an end like he tweeted. Is Bank Marketing Pure Corporate Prostitution?
There exist so much I hate to join issues with and that of being a marketer is one of them. I have had a discussion once with some one who came to me with the intention of wanting to expose a top Nigeria CEO, laying claims to how much she felt humiliated by the Man just to succeed as a bank marketer. She said, he called me whenever he wanted me and he had me where ever he wanted. According to her, I was his sex slave just to rise in a bank. She argued, I did rise but he provided the ticket and access to my getting up there. This is paraphrasing all she said because,according to the story, she came up with very dirty details of what they did together which if they were true was sad. I will spare you the details . I brought this up because she wanted to come open with the man's name, company and full story. She said, there were times when he called me , not to give me money but to play with my boobs. I would have to seat on his lap, he did all sorts with me. Whenever I was in his office, no visitor came in. Appointments were re scheduled. My private part was his toy. Yes the world will say I allowed it but did I have any option? My family survival was on me. I had no uncle or family member to turn to. There was a day he grabbed me a soon as I entered, tour the burton of my shirt, went hard on me little did I know that he had a new shirt waiting for me. He had it all planned. If the secretary noticed on that day, I entered with a white inner shirt but came out a different shade of while top. Of course how could she have noticed. All i asked was, what evidence do you have? She argued, my story is enough. Do you want to help publish my story or not? I closed that discussion with a no. No because her story, though enough had no evidence to back up any abuse. Again, I would not be able to verify the authenticity of the story even though she was willing to have her picture published with the story, it's not enough. I made it clear I was not looking forward to publishing such a story without a viable evidence.
But while I was still pondering if I had done the right thing, I decided to engage some one on the subject of how to succeed as a bank marketer. She works with a top bank here in Lagos. She came clean with me. Joe, we have known each other for years now she said and I can't hide anything from you. She said, except your father is Dangote or one of those in his category, to succeed as a bank marker, you must belong to that clique of corporate prostitutes. At this point I opened my mouth. I was speaking with one of the cleanest and most pretty beings I ever came across. Though not my friend. We talked once in a while. According to her, That is putting it just the way it is. You have to f..k your client as often as he wants if you want to stay recognized in your branch. she said the painful part of sleeping with your top client is that, they don't sleep with you alone. Some times, they ask you to go sleep with their friends and you can't say no.she made it clear that their true life as markers consist of the them that people know and the other part they may really never know.
The above made me remember the story my friend told me about his own friend. According to the story, there are periods when this clients sleep with them without respect or safety. They sleep with them right there and then in their offices not even in a hotel room . To make it worse sometimes, they tell you openly, no use of condom. Because this men give you some of your biggest account, you can't say no. I did ask , must you sleep with them? Can't you say no? She said, of course you can say no but you know the implication She said. There e exist so many benefits beyond the bank account from those clients she added. Not only do you get huge accounts from them, they also connect you with big accounts. According to this being, I travel abroad with tickets and all expenses paid by this being. He helped my boy friend get a job. Yet my boyfriend will tell you as his friend, he is only a helper but I know that in his heart, he knows the truth. This truth is just the same way many husband's who know their wives are in marketing know but deny. They know their wives prostitute but they live in denial. She said each time some one say I work in a bank as a marketer, and you also say I am a marketer, the look in their faces say it all. She said, we know ourselves.
Branch managers in bank are said to always distribute condoms to their staff and the argument also says this idea of living life this way is not peculiar to bank marketers only. A man once said he will disown the daughter if she ever accepted a job in a bank as a marketer, when the daughter asked him why? The man said, no marketer will tell me she does not sleep around. According to this story, the man told the daughter, even male marketers sleep with sugar mummy to make it. The man said that was why I rejected your sisters boyfriend when he came for her hand in marriage. I knew he belonged to that clique when he told me he was a bank marketer. The man concluded, what i have seen in my life and years as a top executive is enough to make me conclude that marketing jobs in Nigeria is nothing but prostitution.
I do not know what you know, but is marketing as a banker equal to prostitution? Is it true that some husband's know what their wife do but live in denial? Do most top executive sleep with clients before giving them accounts? Is male marketing in Nigeria the consolation older top executives use to keep their beds warm?
The above cannot be the truth in all cases but to what extent is it true? 25% 50% 75% or 100%..
